About Our Management
Since IRES is a Limited Liability Company, our elected leaders are called Managers. IRES is owned by four Boards/Associations of Realtors®: BOLO, Fort Collins, Greeley, and Loveland-Berthoud. Fort Collins, Greeley, and Loveland-Berthoud must have a minimum of 2 and maximum of 4, and BOLO must have a minimum of 4 and maximum of 6, for a total of 13 Managers. Meetings are held on the first Wednesday of each month as well as virtual and remote meetings, as needed.

Manager Requirements
Anyone interested in becoming an IRES Manager must:
- be a candidate from such person’s primary local REALTOR® Association (and such REALTOR® Association must be a Member of the Company)
- be a Broker with not less than seven (7) consecutive years of REALTOR® membership;
- be in good standing with, and have received the written endorsement (written confirmation of qualification and of support to serve as a Manager) from, his or her managing Broker; and
- have an individual (private) email address and be comfortable utilizing email and attachments.
Computer Savvy
All candidates must be proficient in email programs including receiving, sending and handling attachments (opening, printing, sending).
The ideal Manager candidate
would have a desire to help IRES chart a path forward through a dynamic local and national MLS landscape, be able to grasp complex technical and legal concepts, be willing to complete supplied short, relevant industry education courses, and be available to commit to most monthly meetings and occasional additional obligations as necessary. Travel outside of the region is not required, but all Managers are given the opportunity to partake in up to 2 relevant and approved industry events per year.
3 Year Term
All candidates for Manager must be willing to serve a three-year term and attend regularly scheduled meetings.
Candidates
Candidates are solicited in September and October each year.
How IRES Managers are Elected
Principal brokers in good standing with IRES and who are primary members of an IRES owner Board are eligible to vote. Votes are weighted based on the number of licensed subscribers affiliated with the principal broker as of June 1 (or thereabouts) each year. For example, an office with 12 IRES subscribers as of June 1 translates to 12 votes. Internally, IRES confirms Board membership and the principal broker in early October, prior to the election. As needed, those who are no longer eligible to vote are removed and/or the ballot is reassigned to the new principal broker.
The election takes place at the end of October and ends on Election Day (the first Tuesday after November 1) via an electronic ballot. Winners are determined by the highest number of votes tallied.
