Mayor Tom Norton, Sandi Elder (at-large) and John Gates (Ward 3) have already announced their decision to run for re-election, marking an early beginning to the City Council campaign season. Incumbent Donna Sapienza (Ward 2) is also eligible but she is unlikely to run again due to illness.
