Weld County: District 6 MLO Fails Again

The Greeley-Evans School District remains the only large district without a mill levy override after 52 percent of the voters rejected ballot measure 3A. The Greeley Area REALTOR® Association supported the measure. This is a difficult loss, after a strong campaign committee worked hard and long to make the case for additional funding.

GARA’s Board of Directors voted to support a proposed 10.34 mill levy override (MLO) which will appear on the November ballot as ballot measure 3A. If it passes, it would give the Greeley-Evans School District 6 $12 million a year for seven years. This equates to an additional $540 per student, per year.
