Bill Vetesy announced his intention to run for the Ward 3 City Council seat which will be vacated by John Gates. Vetesy is a Navy veteran who has lived in Greeley for seven years.
Vetesy holds a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Long Beach State University and has done master’s coursework at Boise State University in public administration. He is currently an instructor at Aims Community College and volunteers to coach middle-school-level basketball in Greeley.
Note: Mayor pro tem John Gates who currently serves Ward 3 is term-limited. He will run for mayor. Brandon Gerving has also announced his intention to run for mayor. More candidates will announce their intention to run in the months ahead of the November election.
