Landlords are already required to provide a list of ten ordinance disclosures regarding noise (including nuisance party prohibitions and fireworks), as well as the prohibition regarding weeds, snow removal on sidewalks, etc. However, Tuesday night the City Council voted to add disclosures regarding bear-resistant trash containers, outdoor furniture, marijuana (odor emissions and the State law limiting individuals to six pot plants) and trash.
The intent of the disclosures is to encourage tenants to comply with these regulations by requiring landlords to educate them. This brings the number of City ordinances landlords are required to disclose to tenants to 15.
