Senators Bennet and Gardner, with Congressmen Buck, Polis and Perlmutter, sent a letter to the Department of Transportation in support of two transportation grants for North I-25. They wrote, “The North I-25 project makes critical improvements to the I-25 corridor, which is currently stifled by crippling congestion and unsafe conditions.” A TIGER grant (see above) will be submitted later this month. The North Front Range Metropolitan Planning Organization (NFRMPO) sent a FASTLane grant application specifically geared toward freight corridors such as I-25 last week. DOT will release a list of the approved grants this fall.
