The Loveland City Council approves a funding request from the Fix North I-25 Coalition in the amount of $20,000. So far, the Coalition (led by David May, CEO of the Fort Collins Chamber and me) has been very successful in increasing awareness and support for the expansion of North I-25 (Highway 14 to Colorado 66), raising $880,000 from Fort Collins, Greeley, and Loveland Chamber members.
However, advocacy is expensive, and the Coalition has asked the public sector to chip in as well. It is anticipated that the Fort Collins City Council will approve a request to donate $30,000 on Feb. 2 and the Greeley City Council will consider a request on Feb. 9.
