Longmont: Most Flood Money For Repair and Replacement

Kathy Fedler, serving as the City’s CDBG Disaster Recovery Manager, presented an update on how the City has used HUD disaster relief funding following the 2013 flood. In total, the City has received $2.6 million. A majority of the money has been used for home repair or replacement costs, including the purchase of replacement mobile homes. Most of those helped (55 households) had incomes below 80 percent of the average median income.

Boulder County administers the HUD down payment funding assistance grants. So far, the County has only processed 19 applications for down payment assistance and $149,000 has been spent to date.
