Larimer County: Commissioners Approve Funding for I-25

The Board of Larimer County Commissioners approved a resolution to shift funds from the general fund mill levy to the road and bridge fund mill levy for five years, generating approximately $2 million per year for I-25 improvements.

However, the funding plan will only go forward if the State of Colorado is successful in its effort to obtain a $90 million Federal Resiliency and Risk Grant to replace bridges over the Poudre, Big Thompson, and Little Thompson rivers and to repair the one over the St. Vrain River. The State will learn if it gets the grant in January.
