NAR Opposes Clean Power Plan

The EPA finalized its Clean Power Plan, which seeks to reduce carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from existing power plants.  Power plants can choose from a variety of options to reduce their CO2 emissions, including fuel switching, improving power plant efficiency, switching to renewable forms of energy and encouraging energy efficiency from energy users.
NAR opposed this onerous regulation because of the higher electricity costs is would impose on property owners.  NAR will provide additional comments on this rule, further elaborating on the negative impacts this rule could have on homeowners and the real estate sector.
