Planning Commissioner Buddy Meyers will challenge Leah Thompson for the Ward II City Council seat. Thompson announced her decision to run last month with the support of incumbent Phil Farley. Now Meyers has followed suit. He is the owner of Tall Guns LLC.
Meyers said his priorities are the west side of town, the downtown and the City’s fiscal management. He argues that improvements to the U.S. 34 corridor are desperately needed when it comes to the west end of town. He is also interested in flexible zoning to incentivize businesses to build in the City, particularly the west side of town. Coincidentally, his business is located in the western part of town, off W. Eisenhower.

I want the entire city to flourish but the west side of town where the majority of new developments are approved as been woefully under focused for years.
