Greeley: Sewer Bond Project Given Initial Approval

An $8 million bond project to fund improvements to the City’s sewer system was approved on first reading by the City Council. The sewer system is aging and in need of improvements since some of the system is over a century old. The funding will also pay for the installation of more than two miles of sewer pipe east of Island Grove Regional Park to the water treatment plant in east Greeley to prepare for anticipated future growth on the east side of town. The Greeley City Council will conduct a second reading on the ordinance on May 5.
