Ken Buck (Windsor) became Colorado’s Representative for CD-4 at a swearing-in ceremony on Jan. 6. Buck chose Greg Brophy to be his chief of staff. Brophy, a farmer from the eastern plains, served as a member of the General Assembly until term limits forced him out of office. Buck and Brophy have similar political styles; both are straight-forward but capable of playing the games that are part of life in Washington.
Senator Cory Gardner was also sworn in on the 6th. As was reported last year, he selected his former campaign manager Chris Hansen to serve as his chief of staff. Natalie Farr, who was Gardner’s chief of staff in the House, will be deputy chief of staff. Hansen ran a brilliant campaign that received national recognition and no doubt his new post is, at least in part, reward for that effort.
