The Call for Action (CFA) urging Senators to maintain real estate tax provisions in any changes to the US tax code closed on Aug. 2. NAR reports that members reached the 15 percent national response rate goal, with 122,100 members taking action.
NAR says it remains critical that REALTORS re-educate Members of Congress about the position on tax reform. While Congress is in recess, NAR is engaging in a direct email campaign to homeowners around the country asking them to sign a petition that will be sent to Congress. The petition will ask Congress to protect real estate tax provisions in any reform proposal.
If the opportunity presents itself, REALTORS should remind our congressional representatives of the importance of these tax provisions to the housing industry and to our country’s economic stability. NAR has prepared a short video on the tax reform issue to obtain all the facts: http://bit.ly/1djQQlF.
